My friend, Apostólis Tsimbanákos has cleared and re-signed the entire section of path from Vália Kálda to the villages of Vovoúsa and Dhístrato and on to Samarína. This is all part of the long-established but hitherto neglected E6 path. He is about to start work on the section Métsovo/Mavrovoúni to the Flénga lakes. So it won’t be long before you have four days’ worth of some of the finest walking in Greece without any more navigation problems!
